Telcom Leadership

Joseph Anello, Jr.

President/Owner

Joe Anello founded Telcom Construction Services in 1999 after recognizing a growing need in cellular tower construction. Starting as the company’s only employee, he managed every aspect of the business from a small office in Valley View, Ohio. As the company grew, he brought on Dennis Balogh as its first project manager, laying the foundation for Telcom’s continued success. Today, Joe serves as a consultant while remaining closely connected to the company he built.

Dennis Balogh

Director of Operations

Dennis has been part of the Telcom team since its founding and brings over 25 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects. As Director of Construction, he oversees all Telcom markets, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. He holds contractor licenses in Florida and Nevada and is dedicated to building strong teams, maintaining client relationships, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Scott Smith

Director of Tower Operations

Scott Smith began his career in communications as a radio operator in the United States Marine Corps before moving into the cable television industry, where he advanced from installer to Operations Manager. He joined Telcom Construction Services in 2006 as a Project Manager and, by 2009, took over leadership of all Tower Operations. Scott continues to oversee Telcom’s tower division, bringing decades of experience in communications and operations management.

Joe Malriat

PA Market Lead

Joe Malriat has been with Telcom Construction Services for over 10 years and leads the Philadelphia market. He started his career climbing towers after graduating from Penn State, later earning an MBA and PMP certification. Joe now oversees multi-state operations, managing personnel, site deployment, customer coordination, and vendor relationships while continuing to expand the team and infrastructure.

Steve Gauthier

FL Market Lead

Steve Gauthier joined Telcom Construction Services as Market Lead for Florida after more than a decade of experience in the field. He began climbing towers in 2011 and advanced through roles as field supervisor, construction supervisor, and project manager. At Telcom, Steve focuses on expanding operations across Florida and the Southeast, building customer relationships, and overseeing projects from acquisition through closeout.

Jim Janko

Sr. Project Manager

Jim Janko is a seasoned Project Manager with 16 years of dedicated service to Telcom. As a foundational member of the team, Jim has successfully overseen a wide range of ground-up construction and renovation projects, guiding them from initial concept through to completion. His depth of experience and commitment to excellence make him a trusted leader on every project he manages.
