Providing the infastructure for the Biggest Night in Football

Telcom’s Role in the 2026 NFL Draft

When the NFL chose Pittsburgh to host the 2026 NFL Draft, the excitement was felt across the entire region — and at Telcom Construction Services, we had a front-row seat. Over three days, April 23–25, more than 300,000 fans flooded the city for Round 1 alone, and we were proud to be part of the team ensuring every one of them stayed connected.

What Telcom delivered on the ground

  • Installed temporary towers at two key locations: Point State Park and West Temp
  • Provided all material and labor for the installation of 18 Verizon radios on the main draft stage
  • Delivered 24/7 on-site support leading up to and throughout the entire event — covering fiber, power, and RF issues around the clock

A network built for the moment

The infrastructure Telcom helped put in place supported massive crowds across all three days of the draft — handling the enormous demand of hundreds of thousands of fans simultaneously streaming, posting, and connecting without missing a beat. The event was a resounding success, and the network performed exactly as it needed to.

20+ years in the making

Opportunities like this don’t happen overnight. Telcom is honored and grateful to have been selected for a project of this scale, and we credit it directly to our 20-plus year partnership with Verizon. That long-standing relationship — built on trust, quality work, and reliability — is what puts us on the field for moments like the NFL Draft.

We couldn’t be prouder of our crews and look forward to many more milestones together.
